Catching up... to myself

It's been awhile since I posted anything on this blog, and I doubt this will be long, unless my diarrhea of the keyboard kicks in, as sometimes happens.

I'm experiencing a phase where there are a lot of opportunities opening up, sandwiched in and around a few major disappointments. New friends, new relationships evolve and old ones (including some with erstwhile cherished family members) seem to dissolve.

I've joined an online poets' society that is showing mad love, to the point that I think I can pull off a spoken word expo next summer, and certainly the year after that, with visitors from as far away as Canada and the West Coast.

My lovely 2nd oldest daughter just graduated high school and, instead of the original college-bound plan, is about to embark on an oddyssey with the National Guard, which is something I have to get used to, but ultimately, I trust Lyndsay's judgment.

Surfing the web, I ran across this script for a personality test and, naturally, couldn't resist. The results promptly labeled me Dreamer. Shit! That didn't take a rocket scientist. I took the test again, slightly altering some of my responses, but to a degree that didn't differ much. In other words, a lot of the answers I gave the second go around could just as easily have been my answers on the first.

So I'm curious now. I'd like others to try the quiz - it's not long at all and it's rather fun - to see what your results are. If EVERYBODY is a dreamer, I can think of a scathing post to write about online wool-gathering quizzes.
